Hastelloy Forgings consist primarily of nickel (about 57%), molybdenum (around 16%), iron (approximately 6%), and cobalt (about 2.5%), together with minor quantities of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This distinctive makeup delivers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, while still preserving remarkable mechanical strength. Mechanically, Hastelloy forgings feature a tensile strength between 620 and 860 MPa, yield strength ranging from 200 to 450 MPa, and elongation of 30 to 50%. The material further demonstrates superb ductility, fatigue resistance, and weldability, which makes it a preferred option for high-performance applications involving chemically aggressive and high-temperature conditions.
